Life without a Bible.
This is the tragic reality for many people around the world. For some, there is simply no Bible available in their heart language. Others could never afford one anyway. In other places, religious restrictions stand in the way.
The Bible Society is committed to placing Bibles into empty hands, and works to raise funds to translate, produce, distribute and make Bibles more affordable the world over.
One way we do this is through Bible Friends, a regular-gift program that helps us provide Bibles to those who can’t afford to buy a copy of their own. For as little as $10 a month you can help change a life. Through our quarterly “Bibles At Work” newsletter, we’ll keep you informed about the impact that your giving has on precious lives around the world.
Bible Friends is one of the Bible Society’s most cost-effective programs, with less than 4 cents in every dollar going towards administration. It also helps fund projects that do not attract tax-deductibility.
We ask you to sign up below as a Bible Friend – or if you already are one, to prayerfully consider increasing your regular commitment. The gift you give is priceless and of eternal significance.
In addition, may we encourage you to spread the word about Bible Friends to your church family and those you know. If you would like some brochures promoting the program for distribution, please download as many as you need from the link provided above; or call our Direct Mail staff during office hours on 1300 552 537 and they will arrange for copies to be sent out to you.
