The need
The Bible Society provides Bibles and Scripture portions
free of charge to a growing and diverse range of ministries
and organisations. These groups reach out to those who
do not yet know Jesus, and the Scripture Grants are
crucial to the long-term impact of this mission work.
Making a difference
Your generosity enables us to provide specialist
Scriptures for chaplains working in many strategic
ministries, including within the defence forces (ADF),
police, emergency services, hospitals, prisons and
seafarers’ missions.
The ADF Scripture edition comes with a camouflage-
patterned cover, an element familiar to those in the
services. A special Police-blue edition includes specific
readings on grief, ethics, integrity, leadership and
forgiveness. Such ‘targeted’ versions of God’s Word
are relevant to the reader, engage their interest and
are life-changing.

Reaching the goal
• 20,000 pieces of Scripture in more than 10 languages distributed to over 40 organisations in 2010
• In 2011, distribute 30,000 pieces of Scripture to a variety of Christian organisations and ministries
