An amazing response
Teachers involved in this exciting Bible distribution programme have been taken a back at the response.

Louise Osborne has been using the Bible Society’s ‘Alive and Active’ DVD, showing it to a large group of Year 3 to Year 6 students in the country town of Griffith. Louise says – ‘They loved it. One of the blessings there was hearing one boy who goes to the Seventh Day Adventist church telling his friends about the Bible stories mentioned in the DVD songs.’

In Sydney’s west, Joan Hawkins has been distributing Bibles at schools in Whalan, Tregear and Shalvey. Joanteaches Scripture and runs an after school kids club. She says she’s amazedat the response of the children. ‘When I asked the kids who wanted one - all their hands went up. I ran out of Bibles in the first class of the morning! The kids were just so excited to get their hands on their own Bible. Once I started handing them out, they wanted me to sign my name in the front with a little message - it was amazing. Thank you Bible Society!’
