Bible calendars
An incredible work is underway in the African nation of Zambia. More than 53,000 people are actively involved in 2,650 Scripture listening groups as part of the 'Faith Comes By Hearing' (FCBH) program. They've linked up with community based groups like the one in the regional town of Kalp. At the Shifwankula Upper Basic School, 1,800 children listen to God's Word and learn literacy in three daily shifts. Their teachers say the children respond very positively and lively discussions follow each listening session.

Reaching refugees
The Austrian Bible Society has marked World Refugee Day with a special event of music and praise. The Society has an active ministry to refugees. At the event, Nana Couffie, founder of the Fellowship of Christian Refugees shared his story – 'A refugee knows nothing about his future. I find great comfort in the stories of refugees in the Old Testament.' After the conference, many Austrians said it was the first time they had ever really talked to Africans and their perceptions of refugees had changed.
