ZVOX is an unusual name, and although it's small in size, it's beginning to have a big impact in our region. It's a tiny solar powered digital audio player, containing Scripture passages and helpful advice on health and hygiene. In association with Samaritan's purse, Bible Society has distributed almost 500 ZVOX units to rural villages and churches in Cambodia.

Two of our staff, Angela Cole and Julie Bryant recently visited a range of villages where ZVOX is being used, and they speak powerfully of the impact on the people and on themselves. According to Angela – ‘It was inspiring to sit among groups of women and children as they gathered in the "Cambodian way" to share their lives with each other. Everywhere I travelled, I saw people gathering to talk and listen – without telephone, computer or television. This is exactly why ZVOX will work so well here.' Julie says the trip exceeded her expectations – 'I think it was a "point of reference" for the rest of my life. From the beautiful people and the love I received, to the love (God's love) given, coming so naturally from my heart – it just happened and we couldn't even speak the same language!
