 Bible drought to Bible bounty
One year ago, riots broke out in Nuku'alofa, Tonga. Amongst the devastation was the Friendly Islands Bookshop, which lost its entire stock of 2,500 Bibles. However this tragic Bible drought soon turned into a bounty, because of a just completed edition of a diglot New Testament in contemporary Tongan and English. 2,000 copies of the new Scriptures were rushed to Tonga and have been quickly snapped up by the locals. According to Malo, a member of the bookshop's staff – 'Now the Word of God is amongst us again'.
