The Bible Society has received official permission to open a local office in the region of Kurdistan in northern Iraq. This highly significant breakthrough is the result of months of hard work and visits by Nabil Omeish, the program coordinator for the Bible Society in Iraq. It follows the distribution of 20,000 Kurdish Scripture calendars in many government and public offices. Nabil says it's an indication of the strong impact that the Bible Society has had in this troubled region.
