Dear Friends,

The frenzy and flurry of activity centred around the current economic turmoil indicates a trust in the towers we have built for ourselves and not a complete reliance on our God. As we move forward in the next few months there will continue to be grave concern for the return on our investments and yet the Scriptures remind us that our God is the owner of all the resources in this world and that he will continue to provide for us. We do need to exercise wisdom and not jettison that great gift God has given us. It is a fine line to walk between wild abandon faith and a faith that uses the gifts of God in the midst of a quiet reliance and dependence on the leading of His Spirit.
In this issue we continue to report on the work God has led us into both here in Australia and throughout the world. We ask you to continue diligently in your prayers for the work and the God given resources to maintain the provision of opportunities for people to engage with the life giving Word of God. We also report on the opportunity for you as donors to participate first hand in this work by taking a mission trip. There is nothing like being present to see how God has gone before and continues to work in His world, bringing people to a living and saving faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
A report is included on the Jesus. All about life campaign that will impact NSW in 2009. It has been planned well and has the support of the churches of NSW. One of the major features of this campaign is the people of God working together to raise the name of Jesus in our community. The theological differences and worship preferences are put aside and the whole church works together to introduce people to the Lord Jesus. Pray to the Lord of the Harvest.
