Coming out of summer, our country is reeling from the bushfires and the devastating loss of lives and this is on the back of the worldwide economic gloom which impacts our personal financial situations. Around the world we continue to hear of situations where people are being oppressed, fighting abounds and many fear for their lives. In the midst of what appears to be a world out of control we need to continue to trust the Creator of all, knowing that He is in control and knows each of our circumstances.

We know that many of the people in these circumstances and situations do not know God and so the work of Bible Society continues to be essential in making the Bible available, in all its various forms, for people so they can place their trust and hope in someone who is able to help them in their time of need.

In this issue of Bibles@work you will read of some of the ways in which we seek to provide the living Word for those who are without it. We continue to seek your prayerful and financial support so that these projects can assist those who are seeking a living relationship with our Lord.
