A Mission Field In Our Public Schools
Bible Society continues to have amazing access to Public Schools getting young people excited about the Bible and helping them engage with God’s life giving words. Through the free distribution of Bibles and Memory Verse Calendars, fun multimedia presentations and visits by the Jesus Ute thousands of Aussie kid’s are being given the opportunity to have a personal encounter with God’s Word.
Julie Simkins, an SRE Teacher, wrote to Bible Society recently. “I shared with my Year 6 class that I’d prayed for the Lord to show me where the money would come from to buy Bibles for the class. Perhaps my husband would get a little extra work, or a bill might be less? I rang the Bible Society, hoping simply to borrow a few Bibles to whet their appetite for the Word, and was told we could have enough for everyone to have their very own! One boy stopped, stared – amazed – then announced loudly, ‘That’s a real miracle, that’s what that is!’ So already God is getting the glory for your kindness”.
